Professionally
I have always been fascinated by biomechanics. There are so many aspects to our bodies and what constitutes wellness that it is a never ending fascination! Some injuries are fixed easily, others take more time and sleuthing to get to the root of the problem.
My career started with receiving my Doctorate in Physical Therapy from OU in 2011 followed by my Certification in Orthopedic Specialty in 2017. I started treating pelvic floor in 2023.
I have worked with wide variety of diagnoses in a variety of settings, which has given me an opportunity to see injuries and illnesses across the spectrum of recovery – from the acute care to the outpatient settings. Working with a wide range of diagnoses has also emphasized to me the importance of looking at an injury as part of a whole.

Personally
I have ridden horses for 27 years, from my start in adopting a horse for the winter from a YMCA camp to rodeo play days, pony club, eventing, and even some hunter jumpers.
Dressage was always part of the journey, then became my primary discipline around the time I was in physical therapy school. I have achieved my silver medal and am working towards my gold medal – on my wonderful, sensitive (and picky) mare who pushes me onward in my quest to be a better rider.
I very much feel the pain and frustration of being an adult amateur who objectively understood the corrections but struggled to implement those changes! I have always tried to get my hands on whatever biomechanics articles and books I could find.
Having the chance to study with Andy Thomas in Florida was an amazing experience for me. The breakdown analysis that is straightforward and extremely effective was an enormous lightbulb moment for me that also helped to put together my professional and personal knowledge. His method is backed with years of experience, research, and success at the Olympic level, which he then encouraged us to take and develop with our own skills and background.
Performance consulting is beneficial for everyone at all levels of skill and any discipline to help us all enjoy our horses and improve their welfare.
